This New Client Website Required LOTS of Features!

Most of the websites we build for clients are fairly standard in what they require:

  • informational pages
  • rotating images on Home page and/or photo galleries
  • interactive contact form
  • events calendar
  • social media integration
  • and occasionally a members-only section, e-commerce or some other advanced feature

However, every once in a while we have a client whose website needs far exceed the majority of our clients. This was the case with The owner of this website came to us nearly 2 years before we ever started building the website, in search of a web developer that would act as a sort of business partner. He knew that the website would be quite involved and require “a lot of moving parts,” and needed a web development company that he felt was committed to the long-term success of his website, just like he would be. We consulted with him regarding the project and provided an in-depth proposal so that he could take this information to his potential investors, and raise the money to fund the project. More than two years later, we are proud to announce the launch of Maintenance911.comThe Multifamily Building Maintenance Industry’s Most Trusted Resource.

This website is built on the WordPress CMS platform and utilizes well over a dozen plugins for added functionality. Some additionally needed functionality was coded directly into the custom theme we created in order to prevent slowing the website down with too many plugins. Here’s just a short list of the advanced features included on this website:

  • image slider on Home page
  • downloadable document gallery
  • user-submitted classified ads section
  • discussion forums
  • a full-featured, searchable business directory with multiple paid listing levels and user-enabled editing
  • full-featured events calendar with user-submitted events enabled
  • multiple advertiser spaces with geographically-based ad delivery system
  • YouTube video display integration
  • multiple membership levels
  • e-commerce
  • blog

Of course, the site had to be fully mobile responsive – not an easy feat, considering all the embedded features and functionality. We are proud to be a part of the team that brought to fruition. Check out the screen shots below.
